The Dodge Viper made it's debut in 1991 as a Pace Car for the Indy 500 and was one of the first V-10 powered cars in the world. This two seater which was heavily inspired by the AC Cobra, actually went on sale in 1992 with it's huge 400 horse power engine as the center piece of the car. As the years went by power was increased to 600 horses and improvements were made to handling and performance. By the time the 4th generation Viper rolled around as the SRT-10 the car had been completely reworked and redesigned. Production of the Viper was supposed to end after the 2010 model year due to financial problems at Chrysler but there has been an announcement for a 2013 Viper to be produced. The first Viper used for these shoot was a first generation 1993 model that had been heavily modified to kick out 1000 true horse power! I took a ride in it and got a few more gray hairs from that experience! The second is a 2009 Model with a hard top to keep your wig from flying off.
